SHREDNEWZ respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This policy explains how we handle copyright complaints under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") and similar laws.

1. Aggregated Content & Attribution

SHREDNEWZ operates as a news intelligence and aggregation platform. We do not claim ownership of articles, images, or other materials originated by third-party publishers. Each aggregated item displays the source outlet name, a link to the original article, and source attribution where available. Summaries and excerpts are used for commentary, reporting, criticism, and research purposes under the fair use doctrine (17 U.S.C. § 107).

Source article images and open-graph images (e.g., og:image, twitter:image) are typically linked directly from the publisher's servers or from stock photography services such as Unsplash and picsum.photos. SHREDNEWZ does not host or store these images.

2. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that material on SHREDNEWZ infringes your copyright, please send a written DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent at the contact information below. Your notice must include all of the following:

A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple works, a representative list of such works.
Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and its precise URL or location on SHREDNEWZ.
Your contact information, including address, telephone number, and email address.
A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

We will make reasonable efforts to respond to valid DMCA notices within 48 hours and to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material promptly.

4. Counter-Notification

If you believe that material you posted or linked to was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification containing:

Your physical or electronic signature.
Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
Your name, address, telephone number, and email address, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district in which your address is located, or if outside the United States, the jurisdiction of any judicial district in which SHREDNEWZ may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice or their agent.

Counter-notifications should be sent to the same designated agent email address.

5. Repeat Infringers

SHREDNEWZ will terminate or suspend access to the Service for users who are determined to be repeat infringers, where appropriate and permitted by law.

6. Trademarks

All trademarks, service marks, logos, and brand names displayed on SHREDNEWZ are the property of their respective owners. SHREDNEWZ and its logo are trademarks of the site operator. Use of any third-party trademark is for identification and attribution purposes only and does not imply endorsement.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this DMCA Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last Reviewed" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
