SHREDNEWZ is meant to help people understand stories, not quietly profile them. You can keep the site in anonymous mode and only opt into a saved account when you actually want account features.

Anonymous mode keeps reading session-free. Standard mode lets the site remember profile-based features when you want them.

Create an account

Anonymous by default

Reading the site does not need a saved identity. We only create a server-side profile when you choose account features such as premium, saving, posting, or other logged actions.

No hidden read tracking

We keep aggregate story view counts for the health of the site, but we do not attach ordinary reading history to a person unless you deliberately use account-linked features.

Local settings stay local

Theme, layout, tutorial, and similar convenience settings can stay in your browser so the site remembers your preferences without building a shadow profile.

Ads stay contextual

Free readers may see non-personalized ads or direct sponsor placements. Premium readers do not see ads.

What We Keep

What we keep for everyone: essential security headers, server logs, and aggregate page counts.

What we keep only when you ask for account features: a session cookie, profile settings, saved items, participation history, and premium status.

What we do not use: invasive third-party trackers, fingerprinting, or hidden read-history profiling for ordinary browsing.
